Delaware-Maryland Synod Youth & Family Ministry

We are engaged in ministry to make disciples of children, youth and young adults through a lifetime modle of faith formation, by developing in them faith and leadership skills, and by equipping congregations and adult leaders to live out their baptismal promises.

The work of Youth & Family ministry is carried out by three distinct teams of gifted youth & adult volunteers

• the Equipping Congregations Team, which works to train and support adult leaders for Youth & Family Ministry in their own congregational context

• the Communications Team, which works to inform and update leaders of the resources and ministries through this website, a bi-weekly electronic newsletter, and a quarterly print newsletter.

• the Youth Events Team, which works to plan and implement FreeRide and RoadTrip, our middle and high school youth events.  This team also also includes our LYO (Lutheran Youth Organization), our youth leadership group.  Click here to learn more about the LYO!
