Unlikely Leaders Retreat

The Unlikely Leaders retreat is a ministry of the Youth & Family Ministry of the DE-MD Synod. The retreat is planned and led by the young people of the LYO, the leadership program for high school youth in our Synod. The adult mentors and LYO coordinators will also be at the retreat to provide support and guidance for the weekend.
The purpose of this retreat is to provide an opportunity for middle school youth to uncover and become excited about the gifts they have for leadership in everyday life, and to explore ways they are a gift to the whole Church!
This retreat is open to all current middle school youth (or equivalent ages if you are not in a traditional school). There is a maximum of three middle school youth total from any given congregation. This retreat is kept intentionally small to allow a good mix of new people for you to get to know while having some of your church friends there too!

Cost: $90/youth or adult participant (non-refundable)

Where: Mar-Lu-Ridge Retreat & Conference Center (Jefferson, MD)
Deadline: everything postmarked by March 15th

For Adults
There is a requirement of one adult per group (either male or female) to attend for the duration of the weekend. As the rooming is cabin-style at Mar-Lu-Ridge, all adults will share in the overnight supervision of the youth participants along with the LYO adult advisors and coordinators.
During the weekend, the adults advisors will gather for conversation and Bible study (leader to be named soon).
